The recent Build with AI HCMC 2026 event was not only an important technological milestone for the Google Developer Groups (GDG) community in Ho Chi Minh City, but also a deeply emotional journey for me personally. With a scale of 300 in-person attendees and thousands of online viewers, this was truly an ideal "touchpoint" between creative minds and the most advanced AI/ML technologies today.
Having accompanied the Vietnamese developer community for over 4 years , I always aspire to bring practical values to the community. This year, I was honored to return with a new mindset – Google Product Experts Ambassador (PE Ambassador).
Build with AI HCMC 2026: The biggest AI playground of the year from GDG HCMC
This year's event focused on breakthrough solutions like Google AI Studio, Vertex AI, Gemini, and Gemma. This is not only a place to update knowledge but also a space for engineers, developers, and students to get their hands dirty with code through intensive CodeLab practice sessions.
From topics about Vibe Coding, ADK Agent to the application of Gemini API, the event clearly outlined the picture of how AI is completely changing the modern software development process.
Google Product Experts: A community of dedicated experts
Perhaps many developers are still unfamiliar with the concept of "Product Expert". During my 15 minutes on the main stage, I took the time to introduce this special community in detail.
What is the Google Product Experts Program?
Google Product Experts (PE) is a program that gathers knowledgeable and passionate users of Google products (such as Google Search, Google Play, Search Console...). These are "super users" who voluntarily contribute their knowledge to support millions of others globally through the support.google.com system.
The role of a Diamond Product Expert & PE Ambassador
My journey started from curiosity, then the desire to help Vietnamese users solve complex technical issues. To achieve the rank of Diamond Product Expert (the highest rank in the program), it took a persistent process of accumulating experience and solving thousands of real-world situations.
As an Ambassador, my mission is not only to provide technical support but also to serve as a bridge, to inspire and build the next generation, helping the Vietnamese tech community to have a stronger voice in Google's global ecosystem.
Event Highlights: When sharing becomes an inspiration
At Build with AI HCMC 2026, I shared why I joined the PE community and the pride of seeing users' problems solved. The message about "the value of giving" received an enthusiastic response from young people. I believe that a good developer is not only someone who writes good code, but also someone who knows how to contribute back to the community.
Practical Workshop & Spreading the PE spirit through 150+ gifts
To create excitement for the CodeLab practice session on Google Colab, I brought over 150 Ambassador gifts (PE Swags). More than just material gifts, it was a welcome greeting sent to friends with the potential to become experts in the future.
Seeing everyone highly focused to complete the lab early and their excitement when receiving gifts right at the table, I understood that our community's learning spirit is stronger than ever. Many shared that they were truly surprised to know Google has such a deep and wide support network and expressed their desire to contribute to the PE program.

Conclusion
Build with AI HCMC 2026 has wrapped up, but the fire of passion and connection is always present. As the Founder of LPTech and a Google PE Ambassador, I will continue the journey of sharing knowledge, supporting the community, and hoping to see more new "Product Experts" from among you.
